The Cuchamano to Zobue Road is the main highway link between Zimbabwe and Malawi and carries high traffic.
The project included rehabilitation works along the road including repair of soft spots and sections of base failures as well as the reseal of all 266 km road length.
Services included review and modification of the design and quantities of work since the original design was some three years old during which period the road had suffered further damages. It also covered the update of bills of quantity and contract supervision including quality and budgetary control.
Key Staff consisted of a team leader, a design engineer, a resident engineer and two site inspectors.
